Introducing Alex
This is Alex. He lives on a farm with friends of Jasmine. You can't really tell in this picture, but Alex is a very big kitty. Definitely a Big Man Cat. He has many adopted brofurs and sisfurs at the farm and they are all BIG kitties.
Y'know how if you put goldfish in a big pond then they grow big, but if you put them in a little fishbowl then they stay small? Well, Jasmine wondered if kitties do the same thing because all the kitties at this farm have lots and lots of space and they have all grown into big kitties.
The human girl from the farm moved into the city and adopted some kitties, and those kitties have all stayed small (compared to the farm kitties).
What do you think? Any farm kitties out there have an opinion on this issue?

Hmmm We don't fink that's right, cuz we came furrom a farm when we wuz 5 1/2 weeks old, and mum said they had about 30 kitties there, and they wuz all small (about 8-10lbs.) Mum gave us proper baby kitty food, cuz on the uvver farm, all the kitties didn't get good food. Well we just kept on growing. I'm(Flynn)13lbs, and quite slim and streamlined, but my brofurr Eric is 21lbs.He is a bit ofurr weight, but he is big and muscular and although he has a floppy belly, the rest of him duzn't look fat.Owr birth brofurrs and sisfurrs who still live on the uvver farm are only about half the size of us.
All that fresh air puffs 'em up.
Mom thinks its more likely they are very well fed. They are more active, so eat more, and obviously get as much as they want. Lots of food mean big kitties.

I don't know much about farm kitties, but Alex is one handsome chap.
Very interesting theory BK! And Alex is a nice looking boy.
Must be the mousies he's eating. He could haf some big man cat genes in him too.
Hmm, we don't know. We don't live on a farm and the beans tell Fracas and me that we're ballooning. Does that mean if I let go of my string I can fly up in the air?

I don't know about farm kitties. I do know my grandfather was an indoor-only cat (he's a Sphynx like me, so can only go outdoors when supervised) and he was 15 lbs. I think it really depends on the breed and how much food they have available.
It's nice to meet Alex and you too BK.
Maybe they're big from all the mice they get to eat? Of course, that doesn't explain why my sister Grr (an apartment dweller) is up to 20 pounds.

I dunno ... Cocoa Puff is furry big and Sparky Fuzzypants is kinda small, and both live with me ... I'm kinda small-ish ...
Cocoa Puff weighs about thirty pounds and is of Siamese heritage; Pumpkin weighs about eighteen pounds; Sparky Fuzzypants is small-boned and weighs about thirteen pounds; Lucky Charmz is about the same as Sparky; and I weigh about fourteen pounds, but I'm a pretty small cat.
Go figure ...
