I have been made to go to the v-e-t twice in the last three days!
As you can see below, and as you will have seen in several other posts (these cat beds are comfy, ritual with the kitty bed, snoozy saturday), I really liked my kitty bed. I felt furry comfortable and relaxed in it.
During my first week here, my favourite place to nap during the day was on the cardboard boxes underneath Jasmine and Peter's bed. There are so many boxes under there that only someone furry small (like me!) can fit, so it's kinda like my special hidey spot/club house. After a nap under there, I like to exercise my claws on the cardboard boxes.
I've made up a new game. It's called let's-pretend-Jasmine's-hand-is-a-catnip-mousie.
I have a ritual when getting into my kitty bed. I can't just climb in and go to snooze. It's a multi-step process.
Hi Poodins. I'd like to introduce you to one of my favourite toys. His name is Mr Fevver-Butt Mousie. I like him furry much. He is furry nice to me. I chase him and bite him and smack him and kick him and carry him around the house in my mouth, and he still wants to hang out with me! He is a furry good friend.
Jasmine read on kitty blogs that many kitties like kitty grass, so she got some for me.
When I first got here, I went to exercise my claws on the bed post. Jasmine quickly say 'no, no...' and pointed to this...
Now that my stitches are out and my incision is healing, the nice SPCA people have put me on their adoption page. You can see the screenshot and description below.
Name: AshleyI am being adopted through the SPCA of Northern Virginia. So if you live in northern Virginia, Washington DC or suburban Maryland, and want to adopt me, just visit the website and click on the Cats for Adoption link for the information.
Description: Brown tabby
Gender: Female
Born: August 2006
Description: Ashley is a very sweet and good-natured kitty. She is quite small, loves to play and has a kitten-like attitude. She loves playing with her feather-tailed mousie and pouncing on a ribbon wand. When Ashley is not playing, she likes to nap peacefully near her foster parents when they are at the computer or watching TV. Ashley is very affectionate and purrs when you pet her. She's also quite easy-going and trusting, and settled in very easily with her foster parents. Even on her first night with them, Ashley purred and gave them a kitty nose kiss. She had a very rough beginning when first rescued by SPCA needing emergency surgery to remove stillborn kittens. Ashley seems to have completely forgotten about her ordeal and is an absolutely delightful kitty!
I read that other kitties like to watch the cat TV. I do too, so I make sure that Jasmine leaves all the blinds raised at least kittyheight at all times. Jasmine is good about remembering this, but Peter is not so good. Sometimes when he's mostly closed it, he finds me squishing myself flat on the window sill so that I can see out the slit at the bottom.
I had to go back to the vet yesterday to get my stitches out. I was not furry happy about this. Well, I was happy to get my stitches out, but I was not furry happy about being in the kitty cage.
Jasmine and Peter's friend came over tonight. He has been making jokes about not liking kitties, but actually he does like kitties (obviously!)
Hi Poodins. Ashley here again. I'm going to be posting quite a bit on this blog while I'm here, so Jasmine made me a little headshot to go with my posts so you know it's me!
Ashley here again...
Hi Poodins. We are all furry sad about Tiggy going off to the Rainbow Bridge, but we also have some happy news to report (although it has a sad beginning). Over to you, Ashley...
There's a lovely senior catizen called Tiggy who's appeared on this blog a few times. We are furry sad to report that she went to the Rainbow Bridge. She was furry, furry senior (over 20 years old) and had gotten furry frail, so she decided that it was time.
